Physiotherapy – move what needs to move.

Musculoskeletal system, rehabilitation, pain therapy and functional restoration. We work manually, actively, with a concrete plan – so you can get back to your daily life, your sport, your work.

"Healing begins with movement – and a clear diagnosis."

What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is the scientifically recognised treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunctions – active, manual and with clear therapy goals. It is used after injuries, after surgery, for chronic pain, in neurological conditions and in prevention.

At Sanapurna we see physiotherapy as a bridge between medical findings and your daily life. We analyse movement in its full context: posture, occupational load, sleep habits, stress patterns. Then we work specifically – with our hands, with active exercises, with carefully dosed stimuli.

  • Manual therapy – joint and soft-tissue techniques to restore mobility.
  • Active movement therapy – individually tailored exercises for strength, stability and coordination.
  • Pain therapy – combination of manual techniques, education and movement programme.
  • Rehabilitation – structured accompaniment after surgery, injury or longer inactivity.

Indications

What is physiotherapy used for?

Physiotherapy works wherever physical function is limited – after injury, after surgery, under chronic load or age-related changes.

Back, neck & shoulder pain

Acute and chronic complaints – manual therapy combined with active exercise programme for sustainable stabilisation.

Knee, hip & ankle

For arthrosis, after ligament injury, after ACL surgery, for chronic instability – with focus on joint protection and strength.

Sports injuries & return to sport

Structured return after injuries – up to full load capacity, with tests and stage goals.

Post-surgical rehabilitation

Follow-up treatment after orthopaedic surgery (knee, hip, shoulder, spine) per medical prescription.

Headaches with cervical origin

Cervicogenic headaches, tension headaches – via manual mobilisation and posture education.

Pelvic floor & postnatal rehabilitation

Pelvic floor recovery after birth, for incontinence or prolapse complaints – discreet and effective.

Neurological rehabilitation

Supportive therapy for stroke, MS, Parkinson's – function maintenance, gait training, fall prevention.

Workplace & posture analysis

Advice for office workers and tradespeople – ergonomics, micro-breaks, targeted balancing exercises for working life.

Prevention & movement build-up

Building a resilient base for people who want to get moving again – safely and step by step.

Physiotherapy works closely with doctors and specialists. For prescriptions from your GP or specialist, we coordinate directly with them on request.

How does a treatment work?

01

Initial assessment

45–60 minutes. History, physical examination, function and movement tests. On request we coordinate with your GP or specialist.

02

Therapy plan & goal setting

We formulate concrete, measurable goals: pain reduction in 4 weeks, return to jogging in 8 weeks, pain-free stairs. You know what we are working towards.

03

Treatment & home programme

Each session combines manual techniques with active exercises. You receive a simple, everyday-suitable home programme – without which physiotherapy only works half.

04

Progress review & closure

Regular interim reviews. When goals are achieved, we close consciously – with a self-management plan for you at home.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about physiotherapy.

I'm not sure where to start – what can I do?+
Book a free 15-minute orientation call. We listen briefly, answer your open questions and find together whether physiotherapy is the right tool for your concern – or whether a different discipline (osteopathy, manual therapy) might fit better.
Do I need a medical prescription?+
For billing via basic insurance, yes. Without a prescription you can pay privately – useful for prevention, movement build-up or if you want to start without a medical referral. Supplementary insurance often covers a share even without a prescription.
How many appointments are needed?+
For acute issues often 6–9 sessions, for chronic or post-operative courses 12–24. A prescription typically covers 9 sessions and can be extended. We evaluate progress regularly and close treatment consciously when goals are reached.
What is the difference from osteopathy?+
Physiotherapy and osteopathy overlap but have different focal points. Physiotherapy is more active with a clear exercise programme and rehabilitation focus; osteopathy works more with fine manual techniques and holistic findings. For many complaints they complement each other – we coordinate this gladly.
Do I get home exercises?+
Yes – and it is a central part of the therapy. We give you a simple, everyday-suitable home programme. Without it physiotherapy works only half as well. The exercises are dosed to fit into 5–15 minutes a day.
Does the treatment hurt?+
Manual techniques can be briefly uncomfortable but should not hurt. You set the pace at any time. With active movement therapy some muscular effort is normal – we discuss intensity together.
What should I bring to the first session?+
The medical prescription (if available), current reports (MRI, X-ray, operation reports), insurance card, comfortable clothing. For sports injuries also the shoes you wear when complaints arise.
